A spoken memory, or a story you want to invent?
Konteen and Again, Please both make books about a family’s own world. The difference is where you start, what you get, and what you can do today.
A good fit: Konteen may suit you better if a parent or grandparent has memories to tell aloud. Its guided interview is a more direct start than typing a story into Again, Please.
Their price: $40 for a paperback, $105 for three, with domestic shipping included. We couldn’t confirm tax or the hardcover price.

Tell it aloud, or write it down.
Talking can keep the turns of phrase that get lost when someone tries to write a polished story. Konteen puts that conversation at the centre. With Again, Please you start by typing an idea or a draft and, if you like, adding the people in your family. Again, Please has no voice interview today.
Three stories or one: count what you get.
Konteen’s set has three printed stories. Again, Please plans each book as its own hardcover, so four stories are four books. Compare how many different stories you get, how many copies of each, and the binding. A set price, or characters who come back, doesn’t tell you how well a book is made.
Ask about the digital copy on its own.
Ask whether a proof expires, whether you can download every page, and whether you have to print to keep it. Again, Please’s free stories can be read and downloaded in full. Invited families can finish complete books in our private studio, but making your own book isn’t open to everyone yet.
Before you choose.
Look at a whole book from each. Check every relative who comes back, read both languages aloud if you need them, and confirm the full price delivered. We read Konteen’s public pages; we haven’t bought or tested one of their books, and we don’t score either as better.
